RDA Asks the Consultant to Prepare Masterplan for Four Tehsils of Rawalpindi

A meeting under the supervision of the RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa took place recently. Other officials including District Town Planners, Deputy Director Planning Samiullah Khan Niazi, Director RDA, and MP&TE Muhammad Tahir Meo also attended the meeting.

The institute has been working on the master plans of the tehsils for the previous three years but could not come up with any satisfactory or marking plan. RDA authorities were briefed in detail about the plans by the consultant from Mott Macdonald Pakistan (MMP).

According to Muhammad Irfan: spokesperson RDA also stated that recommendations for the plans had been prepared which will be submitted to the governing body in the next meeting. RDA town planners also expressed their willingness to evaluate the plans before submission to the governing body.  The tehsils for which the plans are being prepared include Kahuta, Gujjar Khan, Taxila, and Kallar Sayedan.
